About

I am a designer at Imhotep, a design and build firm based in Middlebury, Vermont. I graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in Art and Architectural Studies, and have a background in exhibition design for small museums.

In my work, I always consider design in relation to the human scale. Though much of architecture is built in relation to the human body, the perception of this "body" as a singular entity is very limiting and does not accommodate for the diversity that exists among us. I believe that architecture and design should advance in a way that better accommodates the varying bodies and cultural identities that interact with the built world.  Lately, I've been inspired by instances of emotional architecture, and strive to design spaces that can shape a significant experience, or evoke an emotional response.

When I am not working, I enjoy taking time to pursue personal creative projects, attending concerts, “conducting research” at various bars and breweries throughout New England, and connecting with the people and places that inspire my work.
